Reliance Logistics is located on the third floor of Proloy Roy Abasan in Shibpur. It’s a residential-style building, flat F-20 to be exact, so it feels more like a home than a corporate office. Koi Pukur Lane is one of those narrow Howrah streets where things can get a bit tight if a large truck tries to pass through. We spend a lot of time on the phones and tracking shipments from here. Being in Howrah means we are close to the action, but tucked away in a quiet enough corner of the building. You have to climb the stairs to get up to us on the 3rd floor, which keeps us moving. The office has a few desks and a lot of folders. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just wait it out or use the backup. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. Most people who come here are drivers or people we’ve known for years. Shibpur is a busy part of town, but inside the flat, it’s mostly just the sound of typing and people talking about logistics. We try to keep things organized despite how hectic the industry can get. It’s just a group of us trying to make sure the logistics side of the business runs without too many hiccups. We drink a lot of chai and get through the day.
