Our place is at 127-B, Hazra Road. It is a very busy street and there is always a lot of noise from the buses and taxis passing by. Inside the shop, things are a bit cramped because we have air conditioners and parts stacked up everywhere. We spend most of our time with our hands covered in dust or grease. We do a lot of repair work, so there are always tools lying around on the benches. When it gets really hot in the city, the phone doesn't stop ringing. Everyone wants their cooling fixed right away. We try to get to everyone, but there are only so many hours in the day. The walls of our shop are a bit stained and the floor has some scratches from moving the heavy units around. We aren't a big company with a polished look. We are just a group of guys who know how to fix things when they break. We take our breaks on the sidewalk sometimes, just to get a bit of air. We know the people who work in the shops next door and we usually help each other out if someone needs a hand. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up every morning, open the gates, and start working on whatever unit is next in line. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going and helps people stay a little more comfortable.
