Our place is over at P-72 in the Kasba Industrial Estate, specifically in Phase-II. If you are coming off the E.M. Bye-Pass, it is pretty easy to get to. We have been here at Record Machineries for a long time. The industrial estate is a gritty place, full of grease and the smell of metal, and our unit fits right in. We deal with heavy machinery, so there is always something being hoisted or moved around with a pallet jack. The floors are concrete and usually have a few oil stains, which shows we are actually working. We are not a company that cares about looking polished. We care about whether the machines are running and if the parts are in stock. Our staff knows their way around a gearbox and a motor better than anyone. We spend our mornings drinking tea and going over the schedule, then it is straight into the work. It gets hot in the summer and a bit drafty in the winter, but that is the reality of working in an industrial shed. We have a lot of regular customers from the surrounding areas who know they can just drop in. We don't use fancy titles or have big meetings. We just get the machinery sorted and keep things moving. It is a tough business, but we have stuck with it through all the ups and downs over the years.
