Rashed Al Rashed & Sons Co has an office in Kolkata at 17/1 Nurulla Dr Lane. We are up on the second floor, so you have to walk up the stairs to find us. The building is in the Circus Avenue area, which is a very active part of the city, especially with the Bangladesh High Commission being so close. There are always security people and visitors moving around the street outside. Md Faisal is the one who keeps things running here. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters by any means. We just have our workstations and a place to keep our documents. Our work involves a lot of trading and business coordination, so we are often on the phone or busy with paperwork. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and it can be quite noisy with the horns honking outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big marketing budget or a mission statement pinned to the wall. We just believe in doing the work that’s in front of us. Most of the people we deal with are long-time business contacts who know they can just call us up and get things sorted. We try to keep a relaxed atmosphere in the office even when things get a bit hectic with deadlines. It’s just a group of us working together to make sure everything goes as planned. We don’t need anything more than that to run a decent business.
