Rare Possession

We are located inside Marshall House at 25 Strand Road, which is one of those old buildings in Kolkata that has a lot of history. Our office is Room 228, part of the Padia Enterprise space. To get here, you have to navigate the busy streets near the river and then find your way up the stairs. The building is always full of people rushing around with papers and files. Our room is quite small and it’s filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected and traded over the years. It is not a modern office with glass walls or anything like that. It feels more like a study or a storage room where we happen to do our work. We deal in items that aren't always easy to find, which is why we have this name. Some days we just spend the whole time on the phone or writing letters to people in different cities. It can be quite dusty with all the old wooden floors and high ceilings. We like the character of the place, even if the elevators are a bit temperamental or slow. It is a quiet corner in a very loud part of the city. We don't do much advertising; people usually find us through word of mouth or because they were already visiting someone else in Marshall House. It is just a simple, modest setup for our trading business and it suits us fine.
