Ransal India Pvt. Ltd. is based in Everest House on Chowringhee Road. We are at 3E, which is a good spot in the building. 46-C Chowringhee is a very famous part of the city, so there is always something going on outside our doors. The building itself has a lot of character. It’s been here for decades and you can feel that history when you walk through the entrance. Our office is a mix of old and new. We have some modern computers, but the cupboards and some of the chairs look like they’ve been here since the place opened. We like it that way. It’s comfortable. The view of the road is always interesting, though the honking can be a bit much if we leave the windows open. We usually have the fans going and some tea on the table. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone or going through the mail. It’s a steady pace of work. We don't really have a boss who hovers over us; we all just know what we need to do. It’s an honest way to spend the day. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to catch up on, but usually, we’re out by six. It’s a solid place to work and the location makes everything feel a bit more connected to the rest of the city. We just handle our business and keep things moving along.
