Rahul Mukherjee

My workspace is over on Hyde Road, which is a fairly busy stretch of road to be on. I've been working under my own name, Rahul Mukherjee, for quite some time now. It’s a practical sort of place where things actually get done rather than just talked about in meetings. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much from the others on the street, but that’s fine by me. Inside, it’s mostly just tools, papers, and the stuff I need for my daily tasks. I don't have a team of receptionists or a fancy waiting room with magazines. If someone needs to see me, they usually just give a shout or come by the side door. Hyde Road has a lot of movement, so there is always a bit of dust and noise, but you get used to that after a week or two. My day usually starts with a cup of tea and looking over what needs to be finished by the evening. I handle most of the things myself, from answering the phone to moving the heavy stuff around. It’s a one-man show for the most part, though occasionally I get some help when things get really backed up. I don't really bother with social media or any of that stuff. Most people know I’m here and that’s enough to keep the work coming in steadily. It's just me doing my job on Hyde Road.
