We are over here in Rahara, specifically at Bandipur Ideal Avenue. This place, Ds Jute Exports Pvt. Ltd., is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is more of a practical space where we deal with jute every single day. Jute is a bit dusty and the work can get tiring when the humidity hits, but it is what we do. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we walk or take a cycle to get in. We handle a lot of different jute items. Some days it’s about checking the quality of the raw fibers and other days we are busy packing things up for shipping. It is a lot of manual work. We don't really have a big marketing team or anything. If someone needs jute, they usually find us through word of mouth or they just know we are here on the avenue. We try to keep things simple and just get the work done. Sometimes the machines act up or the delivery truck is late, but that’s just how it goes in a place like this. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent business and make sure the orders get out when they are supposed to. It’s a bit noisy when the work is in full swing, but we like the rhythm of it.
