Raha Travels

You can find us at Raha Travels, located inside the Chatterjee International Building on Jawarlal Nehru Road. We are up on the 18th floor, specifically in Suite A8, Room Number 3. It’s a high-rise building, so the view of Kolkata from up here is actually pretty interesting, even if we’re usually too busy with files to look out the window much. This area around Midleton Row is always crowded with people and yellow taxis, which is just how life is in this city. We spend our days dealing with tickets, itineraries, and all the little details that come with traveling. It’s not always easy when systems go down or people change their minds at the last minute, but we just deal with it as it comes. The office is a bit small, filled with stacks of brochures and old registers. It’s a very local feel, where we know many of our regular customers by their first names when they walk in. We don’t use any of those big travel slogans; we just try to get the bookings right. Sometimes the elevators in this building take forever, so we tell people to give themselves an extra five minutes to reach us. It’s a simple operation, really. We just sit here on the 18th floor and try to make sure everyone’s travel plans are sorted out without too much trouble. It is just a few of us working here daily.
