Windson International

Windson International is up on the 4th floor of Poddar Court, right on Rabindra Sarani. We have rooms 406 and 417, so we’re spread out a little bit across the hallway. Poddar Court is one of those old buildings that’s always full of people and activity. Getting the elevator can take a while, so some of us just end up taking the stairs, which is quite a workout. Our office isn't anything spectacular to look at. It’s mostly just files, desks, and some samples of the things we trade. Being in such a busy part of the city means there’s constant noise from the street below. We deal with international stuff, but the way we run things is pretty old-school. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day and spend a lot of time on the computer or the phone. Sometimes the power goes out and everything comes to a halt, which is just part of being in this area. We’ve got a few windows that look out over the city, though they’re usually a bit grimy from the city air. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure things get shipped to the right place. We aren't a massive company, just a small group working out of these two rooms. It gets a bit chaotic with papers everywhere, but we know where everything is. It’s our second home, really, and we've been in these rooms for more years than I can count.
