R. Taiyebali & Co. is located at 137 Canning Street. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets. The streets are always crowded with people moving goods back and forth. Our place has been here for years, and it feels like the walls have seen a lot of history. It’s an old building, the kind with high ceilings and a bit of a dusty smell, but it suits us just fine. We mostly deal with trade supplies and hardware. Most of our day is spent helping people find specific items they need for their own shops or projects. We have shelves reaching all the way to the top, packed with boxes that we’ve organized over the years. It’s not a modern showroom with bright lights. Instead, it’s a real working shop where we know exactly where everything is, even if it looks a bit chaotic to someone walking in for the first time. We take things as they come. Some mornings are a rush of orders, and other afternoons are spent just tidying up the stock or talking to old customers who have been coming to us for decades. Canning Street has a lot of character, and we feel like a small part of that. We don't use computers for everything; sometimes a handwritten ledger just feels more reliable.
