R S Shipping

R S Shipping is located inside the old Marshall House on N S Road in Calcutta. We are up on the 3rd floor in Room Number 353. If you know the Calcutta GPO area, you know it is always crowded and noisy. This building is one of those classic ones with high ceilings and old-style windows. Getting up to the third floor is just part of our morning exercise. The room itself, 353, is where we spend most of our time. It isn't a modern office with glass walls. Instead, we have heavy wooden desks and stacks of shipping documents everywhere. Outside, the street at 33/1 N S Road is constantly buzzing with buses, cars, and people rushing to the post office. We hear the horns honking all day long, but we’ve mostly gotten used to it by now. The office feels lived-in and has a bit of dust here and there, which is just how things are in this part of town. We don't have fancy furniture or a coffee machine; we usually just get chai from the vendor downstairs. It is a very grounded place to work. We focus on the shipping business and don't worry too much about the decor. It is just a small office in a big, historic building, and it serves us perfectly well for our daily needs. The location is great for business, even if the traffic is a bit of a nightmare sometimes.
