Priya Clinic

Priya Clinic is located in the Sardar Para area of Jhil Bagan, over in Deshbandhu Nagar. It is a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part. The clinic is on the ground floor of a house that was converted a few years back. You have to walk down a small alleyway to get to the entrance. There is a big tree right outside that drops leaves all over our doorstep, so sweeping is the first thing we do every morning. We have a very small waiting area. Usually, people just stand outside and talk to the neighbors until it’s their turn. It’s a very local feel here. We know who lives in which house and whose kids are away at school. Inside, we have some wooden chairs and a table with a plastic cloth on it. The light is a bit dim because there aren't many windows. We use a lot of hand-written notes for the appointments. Deshbandhu Nagar is a place where people look out for each other, and we feel like part of that. When it rains heavily, the water sometimes pools near the gate, so we have to put out some bricks for people to step on. We don't have any fancy equipment or big signs. Just a small plate on the wall with the clinic name. It’s a humble place, and we like it that way. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the furniture.
