Private Bank Sector

Being located in Dum-Dum in Kolkata means there is always a lot of noise and movement outside. We are up on the 3rd floor of this building on Mall Road, specifically at Flat-4A. The address is 19/32 K.B. Sarani, which most local rickshaw pullers know pretty well. Climbing up to the third floor every day keeps us moving, though the stairs can be a bit steep if you are carrying bags. The flat itself feels more like a home than a bank sector office, but that’s just how we have it set up for now. The walls have a few marks from moving furniture around last year. It gets quite humid in West Bengal during the summer months, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street, even if it brings in the dust from the traffic. Mall Road is usually packed with people, especially in the evenings when the markets are full. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the neighbors in the other flats are mostly quiet families. It is a straightforward place to work without too much fuss. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out like everyone else on the block. There isn't anything particularly special about the decor, just some desks, old files, and a few calendars hanging up. It's a regular work day here for the most part and we just keep things moving.
