Prasad Variety Store

Prasad Variety Store is located on Mall Road, specifically on K B Sarani in Kolkata. In a city like Kolkata, there are shops everywhere, but we try to keep a bit of everything so people don’t have to go to five different places. We carry plastic buckets, notebooks, some kitchenware, and even small gift items for birthdays. I’ve spent many years behind this counter. The building is old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s home to me. The street outside is always bustling with people going to work or school. We get a lot of students coming in for pens and paper during the day. I like the energy of Mall Road. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the horns and the shouting of the vendors, but that’s just life in 700080. My family helps me out during the busy holiday seasons when everyone is looking for something new for their house or a small present. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If people want to see what we have, they just walk in and look around the shelves themselves. It’s a bit cramped inside because of all the stock, but we know where everything is hidden. It’s an honest business. I just try to provide what the neighbors need at a price that makes sense for them and for me. It’s been my life for a long time and I am used to the daily routine.
