Power Max India Ltd.

Down here in Behala, things are always a bit crowded on Fakir Para Road. Our office for Power Max India Ltd. is at 40/5E. It’s one of those parts of Kolkata where you really feel the city moving around you. The tea stalls nearby are always busy in the morning. We’ve got a small space where we manage everything. It’s not much to look at, just some filing cabinets and old desks that have seen better days. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the paperwork and trying to stay ahead of the schedule. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there waiting for the generator or for things to come back on. You get used to the noise of the rickshaws and the buses passing by outside. It's a lived-in kind of place. We don't have those glass walls you see in the new office parks. It's just brick and mortar. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we know how each person likes their chai. We don't make a big deal out of things. When there’s work to do, we just get to it. The monsoons can be a bit of a mess with the water on the road, but we manage. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep things simple and try to finish our tasks before the evening rush starts.
