Pioneer Diesel

We are based at number 2 in Deshapriya Nagar. Pioneer Diesel is really just a group of us who know a lot about engines. Specifically diesels, like the name says. The shop is usually covered in a bit of oil, but that's how you know real work is getting done. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while now. People know the sound of our tools by now. It’s not a quiet job at all. We wake up early to get a head start before it gets too hot to breathe in the workshop. Deshapriya Nagar is a decent place to be. We have regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They bring their trucks or generators and we see what we can do to fix them. Sometimes the parts are very hard to find, so we have to spend hours calling around different suppliers. We don't have a fancy waiting room with magazines. Most people just stand around and chat with us while we work or go grab a tea at the corner. We don't use big words to explain things. If it's broken, we tell you why and how we're going to fix it. My hands are almost always black from the grease, even after I scrub them. That’s just the way it is in this line of work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny showroom. We just want the engines to run right when they leave here. It’s simple work, but it takes a lot of patience and grease to get things moving.
