Pharmacon Store

Pharmacon Store is right here at 10/59 in Bijoygarh. Jadavpur is a busy place and we’ve been at this spot for a while now. The shop isn't fancy, just rows of shelves filled with medicine boxes and health stuff people need. We spend most of our mornings unpacking crates and checking the stock lists to make sure everything is where it should be. The ceiling fan hums all day and sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows in from the street outside. Customers come in with their prescriptions, some stay to chat about the weather or how the local market is doing, while others are in a hurry to get back home. We deal with various distributors who drop off supplies in the afternoons. It’s a lot of paperwork and counting pills, but that’s just how the day goes here. There isn’t a big staff, just a few of us who know where every little bottle is kept. Sometimes the computer acts up or the lights flicker, but we just keep going. It feels like a part of the neighborhood, seeing the same faces every week. We try to keep things organized even when it gets crowded near the counter. It is just a regular pharmacy doing what we do every day without much fuss. We have these old wooden drawers for the smaller items and a fridge in the back for the stuff that needs to stay cold. It gets noisy when the school nearby lets out, but otherwise, it is a steady pace of work.
