You can find us at 23, Strand Road, right near the river in Kolkata. The air always smells a bit like the Hooghly and the dampness of the old warehouses around here. Our office is in a building that has seen a lot of years go by. It’s a busy spot because of all the trucks and the proximity to the docks. We spend our days dealing with exim stuff, which basically means a lot of checking and double-checking of forms. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some heavy desks and chairs that don't match, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. But we don't really mind that. It’s a place where work happens. We get a lot of noise from the traffic outside, especially the horns of the trucks moving towards the port. Usually, the morning starts with a cup of tea and a look at the shipping schedules. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of layers. If you call, you’ll probably just talk to one of the three or four of us who are always here. We handle the paperwork and the logistics as they come. It’s a straightforward way of doing things. Sometimes it gets stressful when things are stuck at the customs, but we just keep at it until it's sorted. It’s just a normal day for us here on the riverfront.
