Pathimage Instruments Co. is located at No. 105/12 on Dum Dum Road in the Shil Bagan area. This part of the city is always moving, and the sound of the traffic on Dum Dum Road is basically the soundtrack to our workday. The building is tucked in among a lot of other small shops and residences, which is pretty common for this neighborhood. We are at number 105/12, and sometimes people miss the turn if they aren't paying close attention to the signs. It’s an older structure, but it’s sturdy and has plenty of character. Inside, we’ve got our workspace set up to handle the daily routine. It’s not a huge place, so we have to be smart about how we use the floor space. The humid weather around here means we keep the fans going at full speed most of the year. There’s a certain rhythm to the day, starting with the shutters going up and the first round of tea. Shil Bagan has a real community feel, and we know many of the people who work in the nearby shops. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy lobbies or receptionists in suits. It’s just a group of us working hard in a space that we’ve made our own over time. The rain can be a bit of a problem during monsoon, but we manage to keep everything dry and moving.
