Designers Choice

Our shop is called Designers Choice and you can find us at 31 Ripon Street, which is just off Park Street. Being in this part of the city means it is always loud outside, but inside we just focus on whatever project is on the table. It is a small place, honestly. We have samples of different materials and drawings pinned up on the walls. It isn't very organized, if I am being truthful. There are always bits of thread or paper on the floor because we are always making something. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us who like to figure out how things should look. People come in with an idea of what they want for their home or their office, and we sit down and talk about it. We don't use those big fancy words you hear in magazines. We just talk about what fits and what doesn't. Sometimes we disagree on a color or a layout, but we eventually work it out. The building on Ripon Street is quite old and the stairs can be a bit steep. We have been here long enough that the neighbors know us. We don't really do much advertising. Usually, people just see our sign or hear about us from a friend. We just try to make things look nice without making a big fuss about it. It’s a simple way to spend the work week.
