Mondal Beauty Soap

Mondal Beauty Soap is our little business on Para Road-Naktala. We have been making soap here for a while now. It’s not a big factory with machines doing everything. We do a lot of it by hand in the back room. You can usually tell we’re working because the whole street starts to smell like sandalwood or lemon. We decided to start this because the soaps in the big stores felt like they were getting too expensive and didn't feel right on the skin. Our shop is simple. We have the finished bars on shelves and the raw materials in bins. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny boxes. We just wrap the soap in paper and sell it to whoever walks in. People from around Naktala come by regularly. My nephew helps me with the mixing when he’s not at school. Sometimes the batches don't come out looking perfect, maybe the color is a bit off, but the soap still works just fine. We don't mind the imperfections. Para Road is a good place to be, even if it gets a bit muddy when it rains. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spills and making sure the molds are ready for the next day. It’s just a regular job for us, making something useful that people need for their homes. We like the work and the people who stop by to chat.
