Over at 16 1 Attapara Lane in Kolkata, you will find P K Saha Associates. West Bengal 700 050 is the area we call home. Kolkata has these narrow lanes that are full of character, and Attapara Lane is definitely one of them. Our office is tucked away in one of those buildings where the stairs are a bit steep. It’s not a modern corporate park with air conditioning in every corner. We rely on the old ceiling fans to keep us cool during the humid months. P K Saha Associates is a small group. We spend most of our time at the desks, working through documents and talking to people who stop by. It can get pretty cramped when we have a lot of work, but we manage. The sounds of the city are always there in the background—horns honking, people shouting, and the occasional bell from a nearby temple. We don't have a big PR team or a shiny logo. We just have our name on a small board outside. Working in Kolkata means you learn to be patient with things. We just take it one day at a time, making sure we don't miss anything important. It’s a very traditional way of working, I suppose. Just honest effort in a small office on a quiet lane, making sure we get through our list. We’ve been here for years and we know the street like the back of our hands.
