M. T. P. Jewelers

Our little shop is located at No. 32 P. C. Lahiri Sarani. M. T. P. Jewelers has been part of this street for quite a while. It is a small place, but it holds everything we need to do our work. P. C. Lahiri Sarani is a nice enough street, usually busy with people going about their business. We spend a lot of time looking at small details and fixing things that people bring in. It is quiet work mostly, interrupted by the bell on the door when someone walks in. The shop floor isn't very large, so we have to stay organized. We have our tools spread out on the back bench where the light is better. Most of the people who come here are locals who live nearby or work in the area. We know many of them by name after all these years. It is not a fancy showroom with bright spotlights. We keep it honest and straightforward. The shelves have been there since we started, and they hold a lot of history. On rainy days, the street outside gets a bit muddy, but the shop stays warm. We enjoy the routine of opening up, cleaning the glass, and waiting to see who stops by. It is a steady life here on the Sarani, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Each day brings something different, even if the location stays exactly the same for us and our neighbors.
