Osaka Trader Centre

We are over at 306 Anand Jyoti, which is on N S Road near the Calcutta GPO. It’s an old part of the city and the building has that classic feel to it. Osaka Trader Centre is what we go by. We’ve been trading from this office for a long time. The street outside is always full of people, vendors, and yellow taxis honking their horns. Inside, it’s a bit calmer, though we are usually busy with something. We trade different types of goods, so our inventory and our focus can shift depending on what’s in demand. The office is full of ledgers and sample items. We don't have a polished look at all. The paint is a bit old and the furniture has seen better days, but it’s a good place to work. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on shipments down at the port or at the warehouses. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We aren't trying to be some massive global firm. We are just local traders who know the market here in Calcutta. We like the rhythm of the city and the way business is done face-to-face mostly. If someone comes by, we usually have time for a quick chat and a glass of water.
