We've been at Shakespeare Sarani for a while now. It's on the first floor of building 64. Mostly we deal with chairs and tables and stuff for houses or offices. It's a busy spot near Circus Avenue, so parking is always a bit of a headache. The stairs are a bit steep but once you're up here, we have quite a bit of stock to look at. We don't really do fancy websites or anything like that. People usually just walk in because they saw our sign or heard about us from a neighbor. Sometimes the place gets a bit cluttered with wood and fabric samples, but that's just how we work. My father started this and now I handle most of the day-to-day things with a couple of helpers. We spend most of the day talking to customers or checking on orders from the workshops. It isn't a massive showroom with bright lights, just a regular place where you can get your furniture sorted. We try to keep things straightforward. If something isn't in stock, we tell you. We don't like making promises we can't keep regarding delivery dates because traffic in this part of town is unpredictable anyway. Mostly we just want to get the work done and go home. That's pretty much what Orient Furnishers is about. Nothing too complicated, just a local business trying to stay busy in a crowded area.
