Our office is located in Baguihati, over in the Ashwani Nagar area. It is specifically on the first floor of the He 5 building in Baguipara. If you know the Deshbandhunagar neighborhood, you know how busy the streets can get around here. We spend most of our time dealing with boxes, bubble wrap, and rolls of tape. Moving house is a messy business and we see it every single day. There is usually a pile of empty cartons sitting in the corner of the office waiting to be used for the next job. The stairs leading up to our floor are a bit narrow, which makes it interesting when we have to move equipment around. We have a small team here and we all pretty much do a bit of everything, from answering the phones to helping out with the heavy lifting when things get really backed up. The traffic outside can be a real headache, especially during the monsoon when the roads get a bit flooded, but we still manage to get the trucks out on time. It is a lot of physical work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. We do not have anything fancy in the office, just some desks and a couple of chairs that have seen better days. It is a local operation and we know the shortcuts through the narrow lanes of Kolkata quite well. It is just regular work for regular people around here.
