Our office for Om Leather Artdeco Pvt. Ltd. is at No. 258/17 Apc Road. If you walk down Apc Road, you’ll know it’s a very active part of town. There is always a lot of dust and the sound of horns. Inside our space, there is a very strong smell of leather. It’s something you get used to after working here for a few days. We have different kinds of leather stacked up in the corners. Some are smooth and others are a bit rougher. We spend our time working on various designs and making sure the quality is okay. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop feel here. There are scraps of leather on the floor sometimes and the sound of the stitching machines is always in the background. We are a small group of people who just know how to handle leather. We don't use much technology other than what’s necessary for the job. The building itself is older and has its quirks. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit when the heavy machinery next door starts up. We just keep going. Apc Road is a central location which makes it easy for our suppliers to drop off materials. We don't have a big mission statement. We just make our products and try to get through the day's orders. It’s a lot of physical work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening.
