We spend most of our days at 36 Strand Road. It is an old building, and we are tucked away on the second floor in Room Number 2. If you know the Kolkata area near the river, you know how busy it gets around here. There is always a lot of noise from the street below, but once you get inside the office, it is a bit quieter. We have been here for a while now, and the walls are filled with files and papers that have piled up over the years. We mostly just focus on industrial properties. It’s not a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. Just a couple of desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a ceiling fan that makes a clicking sound when it’s on high. Usually, we start the morning with some tea from the stall downstairs. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, so we try not to forget anything in the car once we get up here. Most people who come by are looking for warehouses or factory space around West Bengal. We don’t really do much advertising or anything. People just find us or hear about us from someone else. It is a simple way of working, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. Sometimes the traffic on Strand Road makes it hard to get home on time, especially during the monsoon when the roads get a bit flooded.
