Odc Logistics Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away at 148 Bishnupally in the Purba Putiary area of Kolkata. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of narrow streets and local shops nearby. Our office is right in the middle of all that activity. We have been in this spot for quite some time now, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. The office itself is pretty simple. We have a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets that are always full. Most of our work involves keeping track of shipments and talking to people on the phone. It can get a bit loud with the traffic outside, but we’re used to it by now. In the afternoons, someone usually brings in snacks from the local market. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of those modern office perks. It is just a group of us working through the daily list of things to do. The humidity in Kolkata can be tough, but we keep the windows open when there’s a breeze. People stop by sometimes just to check on their orders or to have a quick chat. We prefer it this way, being right where the action is. It is just a local business doing its daily job, which is making sure things get moved from one place to another. We have a small corner where we keep the records organized, though it always looks a bit messy to anyone else.
