Nitya Garments

We started Nitya Garments here in Vill Nishanka a few years ago. It’s a quiet place in Burdwan, near Amadpur. Most days it’s just us working through the piles of fabric and getting things ready for customers. We handle all sorts of clothing items. Being in a spot like Memari means we know our neighbors well. The shop isn't huge, but it's where everything happens from morning until we close up for the evening. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the road a bit messy, but that’s just how it is around here. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. People just drop by the village to see what we have. It’s mostly local stuff, but we take care with what we make. You can find us easily enough if you ask for the P.O. Amadpur area. We do a lot of the stitching ourselves. It keeps us busy. Some people have been coming to us since we first opened our doors. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a garment isn’t right, we fix it. That's the way it goes. We’ve been part of this community for a while now and we like it that way. No big city rush here, just steady work and making sure people get what they paid for. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so everyone chips in when there’s a big order to finish.
