New Educare Centre

New Educare Centre is located at 15 A, Harish Sikdar Path, which most local people know as Chutarpara Lane. Being in Bowbazar means there is always something going on outside our door. We are quite close to Shraddhananda Park, so that is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. If you take the bus, the Chapatala Bus Stop is right opposite, which makes it easy for anyone coming from the Sealdah side. Our space here is pretty straightforward. We aren't into big decorations or anything like that. It is just a place where we sit down and get the work done. The street can get a little crowded, especially during the busy hours in Kolkata, but we have been here long enough that we don’t really mind the noise. People drop by to ask questions or just to see how things are going. We keep a simple routine every day. Most of the folks who come here are from the nearby neighborhoods, but we see people from further out too since the transport is decent. 15 A isn't a huge building, but it fits what we need for the centre. We just focus on the daily tasks and trying to be helpful to the students who walk through the door. It is a local operation, run by people who live and work in the city. We don’t do anything fancy, just the basics.
