Sj Sparkle

Our little shop, Sj Sparkle, is located in the Uttarayan Complex on Dumdum Road in Calcutta. We’re right at shop number nine, directly opposite the Axis Bank. If you know that part of town, you know it’s always crowded with people heading to the station or catching a bus. It’s a small space, but we make the most of it. We spend our time cleaning things up, organizing the displays, and waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s not a quiet job because the street noise outside never really stops. We have our regulars who drop in for a chat or to see what’s new. Usually, there’s a cup of tea sitting on the counter and someone is complaining about the humidity or the traffic. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns being here. We don't use any fancy software to track things, just a simple notebook and our memory. The lights in the complex can be a bit dim sometimes, so we brought in our own lamps to brighten things up. It’s a cozy spot, even with all the chaos of Dumdum Road just a few feet away. We try to keep things tidy, but with so many people coming in and out, there’s always something to sweep up. It’s a good place to watch the city go by while we work on our daily tasks.
