We are located at number 14 Amartolla Street. If you know the area, you know how narrow and crowded these lanes can get. It’s a real old part of the city, and our building has that weathered look to it. Inside Narayani Flavours & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., the air usually smells like a mix of things, which is just part of the job. We spend a lot of time moving crates and checking inventory lists. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. The morning starts with unloading deliveries before the streets get too packed for the trucks to pass. Sometimes we have to deal with leaky pipes or a flickering light, but that’s just life in an old building. Our staff has been here for years, and we all know the rhythm of the street. You hear the shouting of the vendors and the bells of the rickshaws all day long. It gets loud, but you stop noticing it after a while. We do not have fancy desks or a lounge. It’s mostly just workspace and storage. We drink a lot of tea from the guy on the corner. It’s a simple operation, really. We focus on getting the orders out on time. There isn't much room for sitting around. When the monsoon hits, the street outside floods a bit, and we have to be careful with the stock. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you work here in this neighborhood.
