You can find us at New Alipur in Kolkata. We’re in the Fort Residency building, specifically Flat 2A in Block 1A. It’s a bit of a residential setup for an export business, but it works well for us. S.N. Roy Road is a busy enough place, and being in a flat means it stays a bit quieter for the actual work. We handle various export tasks from here. Most of the day involves coordinating shipping, checking on orders, and making sure the documents are all lined up. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and the export business is much the same. We have a lot of files stacked up, and the printers are usually running. It’s not a corporate showroom or anything like that. It’s just a place where we sit down and get things moving across the borders. We have our regulars who we talk to all the time, and new stuff comes in every now and then. The monsoon rains can make the commute to the office a bit of a mess, but we’re usually here regardless. It’s a small, steady operation. We don’t make a big fuss about what we do. We just make sure the goods get to where they’re supposed to go without any unnecessary delays. It is mostly just keeping track of boxes and manifests while sitting in a quiet room in Alipur.
