We are located in Santara, which is part of the Jugpura area in Mayurbhanj, Orissa. It is a bit out of the way for some people, but we really like it here. The landscape is quite rugged, and that tends to reflect in the kind of construction work we do every day. Our office is just a simple structure that keeps the rain off our heads and keeps our project papers dry. Construction in this part of the state involves a lot of careful planning for the uneven terrain. We do not have the latest fancy gadgets or any big office towers. We just have our machines, our trucks, and our own hands. Most of the people working here have grown up right here in this district. They know how to handle the local stone and the red earth that is everywhere. We do not have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff they teach in schools. We just know that if someone needs a structure built, we are the ones around here who can do it. Some days are definitely tougher than others, especially when the local roads get washed out or we cannot get spare parts for the excavator quickly. But we always find a way to make the job work. It is a slow and steady kind of life. We are just regular people trying to make a living by building things that are meant to last.
