Arham Jewellers

Arham Jewellers is located in the Turner Morrison Building which is a very old and famous spot on Lyons Range. We are up on the 3rd floor in Room No 9 and 10. The building has those old wide corridors and the lift is one of those traditional ones. It feels like stepping back in time a little bit when you come up here. Our office is fairly simple with a few desks and cabinets. We don't have a big retail front so it's mostly just us working on orders and talking to people on the phone. From the windows you can see the busy streets of Kolkata down below but it is much quieter up here. We spend our mornings going through the stock and checking what needs to be sent out. There is always a lot of paperwork to do in this business and it takes up a good chunk of our time. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea throughout the day. It is a very steady routine and we don't really change much from week to week. Some of the people who work in the other rooms have been here as long as we have. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It is a good place to be if you like a bit of peace while you work.
