You can find us at 39 Prince Rahimuddin Lane over in the Tollygunge area of Kolkata. It is one of those narrow lanes where things can get a bit tight when a big truck tries to pass through. Shri D. Coomar is usually the one handling the day-to-day stuff in the office. The building is older, like a lot of places in this part of the city, and it has that specific Kolkata feel to it. We deal with construction work, which means there is always a layer of dust on the windowsills no matter how often we clean them. The fans hum overhead all day to keep the humidity at bay. It is a busy place, but we don't really go for the corporate look. There are files stacked up on the wooden desks and the phone rings more than it probably should. We spend our time managing different sites and making sure the labor is sorted. It is a lot of coordination and talking to people on the ground. Sometimes we meet at the office to go over the numbers, but more often than not, we are out somewhere in the city. The tea here is strong and we drink a lot of it while discussing the next steps for a project. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for years. There is no need for anything flashy when the work speaks for itself.
