M/S Ganga Motors

You can find us at 86 D Dr. Suresh Sarkar Road. It’s right in the heart of Kolkata, near the 700 014 area. Ganga Motors has been sitting on this street for quite some time now. It’s a busy road, and there’s always the sound of horns and people walking by. We handle motors and cars, so there is usually grease on someone’s hands. The shop floor is a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s a bit dark inside during the monsoon, but we have some good lights. We see a lot of the same faces every week. People stop by to chat or ask about a part. We aren’t a big corporate showroom. It’s just a place where we do the work. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We keep the ledger on a wooden desk that’s been here since the start. Some days are slower than others. When it rains hard, the water pools up near the entrance, and we have to be careful. We just do our jobs and go home. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee. You just stand around or find a stool. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We like being in this part of Kolkata and seeing the neighborhood change as the years go by.
