Our office is right at 11 Jatin Mohan Avenue in Sovabazar. If you know North Kolkata, you know this area is always crowded and full of life. The building we are in is quite old, with thick walls and high ceilings, which keeps it a bit cooler when the sun is beating down on the avenue. We have been working out of this space for quite some time, and it has a lot of character, even if the paint is peeling in some corners. The street outside is never quiet; there are trams, buses, and people shouting all day long. We just sit inside and handle the daily trade stuff. It is a small team here, and we usually have a pot of tea going throughout the afternoon. We deal with a lot of paperwork and people coming in to talk about business. It is the kind of place where you know your neighbors and the local shopkeepers. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. You just walk in off the street and find us at our desks. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and keep going. It’s a very traditional way of working, but it fits the atmosphere of Sovabazar perfectly. We are just a local business trying to do honest work in a busy city, one day at a time.
