We are located over at 73, Dweshbandhu Road in the Jadavpur area of Kolkata. It's quite close to the Deshbandhu Club. Most of our days are spent dealing with cardboard boxes and a lot of brown tape. Moving stuff from one house to another is a lot of physical labor and we've been doing it for some time now. The streets around here can get really crowded, especially in the afternoons, so we have to plan our truck timings carefully. We handle all sorts of household goods. Sometimes it's a whole family moving their entire life and other times it's just a student with a few suitcases. We do a lot of packing using old newspapers and plastic wraps to keep things from getting scratched. The office isn't anything special to look at. It's just a place where we keep our supplies and talk to people about their moving dates. It gets very hot here in the summer, which makes moving heavy furniture up three flights of stairs quite a task. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook and a phone that rings fairly often. When someone calls, we just try to figure out how many items they have and how big a truck they'll need. It's just a regular local business trying to get the job done properly. People know us by name around the neighborhood because we have been in this spot for years.
