Moulin Rouge

You can find us at 31 Park Street, which is quite close to the Park Hotel. This building has been standing here for a very long time and you can tell by looking at the high walls. We have seen the street change so much over the years. It used to be different, but now there are so many cars and people everywhere all the time. Inside, we have our own way of doing things. The red lights and the old wooden furniture give it a certain feel, but to us, it is just where we work every day. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the tablecloths are pulled straight. It is a lot of effort to keep an old place running properly. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a bit of noise, but we are used to it by now. The kitchen is tucked away in the back where the chefs are always busy with the heavy pans. We don't really do much advertising or things like that. People just know we are here. Often, we see the same faces coming in week after week, which is nice. It is good to recognize someone when they walk through the door. We have a lot of stories about this place, but mostly it is just about getting the food out and making sure the floor is swept clean. We just keep the doors open and wait for the evening rush to start.
