Modern Surgical

Modern Surgical is at 101, Chittaranjan Avenue in Kolkata. It’s one of those big, busy streets where there’s never a quiet moment. The traffic outside is constant, with trams and cars always moving and people rushing by on the sidewalks. Our building is one of the older ones on the avenue, with high ceilings and those big windows that let in the street noise. Inside, it’s a bit of a jumble. We have shelves filled with stock and desks tucked into the corners. It’s not a polished showroom by any means. It feels like a place that has seen a lot of work over the decades. We have some old wooden furniture that’s been here since we started. The floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most of our visitors are people who have been coming to this part of the city for years. We just keep the doors open and manage the orders as they come in. It gets quite hot in the summer, and the old fans do their best to keep us cool. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to get through the daily list of tasks and make sure the deliveries are sent out correctly. It’s a very grounded, local way of doing things right in the middle of a very busy city.
