Modern India Construction Co. is based at 1/9 Gopal Chandra Bose Lane in Kolkata-50. Being in Kolkata means we are used to the humidity and the crowded streets. Our office is tucked away on Gopal Chandra Bose Lane and it serves as our home base for all the building work we do. Construction is a tough business but we’ve been doing it for a while now. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or a big sales team. It’s just a few of us making sure the projects get finished. We spend a lot of time traveling between different sites in the city. The traffic in Kolkata can be pretty unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time in the car. We don’t use those polished marketing phrases you see in brochures. We just talk like normal people because that’s who we are. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby or have seen our signs at a job site. We try to be honest about how long things will take. Sometimes there are delays with materials or the rain stops us for a few days. That’s just how it goes in this line of work. We enjoy being part of the local community here in the 700050 area. It’s a busy life but it keeps us on our toes and there is always something new to do.
