Our place is on New Parnashree School Road in Kolkata. It’s an older building, number 34/A, and it’s seen a lot of years go by. We handle industrial equipment stuff here, specifically under the name Mm Group Of Industries (Hosch Equipment (India) Pvt Ltd. The office is usually humming with the sound of the old AC unit and the constant tapping of keyboards. We have a lot of technical manuals and parts catalogs stacked up in the corners. Kolkata weather can be tough, especially with the humidity, so we spend most of our time indoors trying to stay focused on the logistics of moving equipment. It’s not a flashy industrial park office; it’s right there on a regular road with people walking by and the school nearby. We’ve been part of the local scene for a long time. People around here know us as the equipment guys. Most of our day is spent dealing with orders and checking on shipments. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and talk about the weekend. The furniture is a bit worn, and the paint might be peeling in a few spots, but it’s a functional space where the real work gets done. We don’t bother with much ceremony. If someone needs something, they call or stop by, and we see what we can do. It’s a steady pace, and we like the neighborhood. It feels like home to us now.
