We are based at No. 41/1 Salimpur Lane. It’s right near South City Shopping Mall, so the area stays pretty busy most days. You can hear the traffic from the main road even when the doors are closed. We started this because we just liked making things by hand. The shop is small, and there’s usually a bit of dust on the shelves from the wood or the fabrics we use. It isn't one of those shiny stores you see inside the mall. It’s a bit cluttered and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for us. My brother and I usually open up around ten, unless something comes up. We spend our time cutting, gluing, and painting various items. Sometimes we have a cup of tea and just watch people walk by. The lane is narrow, so if a car comes through, everyone has to squeeze against the walls. We’ve been here for a long time, and the neighbors are all familiar faces. It’s just a regular life for us. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just find us by walking past or hearing about the stuff we make. It’s a quiet way to earn a living, even if the city is loud. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. The address is easy to find once you get off the main road and head towards Salimpur Lane. It might take a minute to spot us, but we're there.
