We are based on the 7th floor of the Sukh Sagar building at 2/5, Sarat Bose Road. It’s a busy part of the city and finding a parking spot can be a real headache sometimes. Our office is in 7A. We do engineering work, mostly involving the Metalock process. It’s a specific way of fixing things without using heat. The office isn't very large, but we manage to fit everything we need. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a lot of technical manuals. Being up on the 7th floor is okay, though the lift can be a bit moody and slow when you're in a hurry. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or sending emails to coordinate jobs across different sites. Most of our actual work happens away from the office at factories or ports. It’s a lot of work to get the right people and tools to the right place. We’ve been at this address for a good while and we’re used to the rhythm of the building. It’s a mix of people working here, some who have been doing this for decades and some newer faces. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home. It’s a practical environment for people who like solving mechanical problems.
