Working at A.K. Power Industries means spending a lot of time in Liluah, which is a classic industrial part of Howrah. Our place is on Thakur Das Ghosh Street at number 38. It is one of those old streets where you can hear the sound of metal being worked on from several different shops at once. The railway station isn't too far away so you always hear the trains passing by throughout the day. We deal with power industry equipment and parts, but our setup is pretty humble. It is just an old building with a lot of machines and some storage space in the back. The air in Howrah always has that heavy, industrial feel to it. We have been operating here for years and most of the guys working here live right in the district. It is not the kind of place where you will find a shiny reception desk or someone to bring you coffee. We usually have grease on our hands and piles of paperwork on the tables.
