We've been at 71, Topsia Road South for a long time now. If you know this part of the city, it’s always busy, lots of trucks and people moving around all day. Our building is right in the middle of it. Inside, it’s usually pretty loud because the machines are running and the guys are busy getting the orders ready for shipping. We handle manufacturing mostly, so there’s always a lot of raw material coming in and finished goods going out the door. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially when it rains heavy and the road gets messy, but we just keep going. It’s a lot of work to keep up with the export schedules. We have a small office upstairs where we handle all the paperwork, which seems to never end. Most of the staff has been with us for years, so everyone knows what they’re doing. We don’t have fancy lunchrooms or anything, just a spot where we sit and have tea during breaks. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summers, but that’s just how it is working in an industrial area like this. We try to stay organized, but with so many things moving at once, it can get a bit cluttered. It’s a practical place, not a showroom. We just focus on making sure the products are made right and sent off to where they need to go on time without making a big fuss about it.
