Meghalaya Cements Ltd.

This office is tucked away on R.N Das Road in the Dhakuria area of South Kolkata. It is a busy part of the city, and you can always hear the sound of traffic and people walking by outside. We are located at 23H/1, and it is a pretty standard Kolkata building where we handle all the administrative work for Meghalaya Cements. Most of our day is spent at desks, dealing with phone calls and sorting through stacks of papers that come in from the plant up in the hills. The rooms are a bit cramped with all the files we have to keep, but we manage. During lunch breaks, some of us step out to the local tea stalls or just sit by the windows when there is a bit of a breeze. It gets very humid here in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always spinning at full speed. We do not have any big showrooms or fancy displays; it is just a place where the staff shows up to keep the business side of things moving along. Working in Dhakuria means we are close to the railway station, so people are always coming and going. We have been in this spot for some time now, and the neighbors all know us as the cement office. It is just a regular workplace with regular people doing their daily tasks without much fuss. We try to keep things organized even when the phone won't stop ringing and the city noise gets loud.
